Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross
penned by Fanny Crosby -Hymn writer, poetess
Jesus keep me near the cross
There a precious fountain
Free to all a healing stream
Flows from Calvary's mountain
CHORUS:
In the cross, In the cross
Be my glory ever
Til my ransomed soul shall find
Rest beyond the river
Near the cross a trembling soul
Love and mercy found me
There the bright and morning star
Shed His beams around me
(CHORUS )
Near the cross! O Lamb of God
Bring its scenes before me
Help me walk from day to day
With its shadow o'er me
(CHORUS)
Near the cross! I'll watch and wait
Hoping, trusting ever
Till I reach the golden strand
Just beyond the river
"But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Galatians 6:14
In our day to day lives, we encounter many
circumstances that will take our eyes away
from Jesus. Let us always ask the Holy Spirit
to shelter us from these things, and to continue
to look unto our God.
Not unto us, not unto us,
but to Thy name be glory.
We are only beggars and debtors,
to Thy everlasting kindness.
Glory to the Almighty!

Worry
Why is worry sin?
1. It shows a dependence on the circumstances of your life, not on the Lord. You are distrustful of His everlasting goodness and mercy.
2. It is stubbornness. You stick to your own way of doing things.
3. It is the leading of a wicked heart. You want to move forward without God.
4. It is impatience. You do not rest under the shadow of His wings.
5. It is foolishness. You do not the know what God can do for you.
6. It is defeatism. You feel no power with God and men.
7. It makes you unstable. You don’t have faith that will make you unmovable.
8. It hinders the moving of God in your life. You are blind to His everyday miracles.
James 1:16 “Do not err, my beloved brethren.”
Romans 14:23b “For whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”
Proverbs 14:14 “A good man shall be satisfied from himself.”
Proverbs 16:20 “He that handleth a matter shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.”
Claim that victory by staying close to Jesus.
Prayer: Dear Father, help me to see Your goodness that I may not be troubled with what my physical eyes do see. Please give me faith and open my heart to see only Jesus, and trust only in Him. Amen.

Yes, He sees
Yes, He sees everything.
He knows that you have need of many things:
Strength, comfort, peace,
and even the material ones.
He provides them for you
because He knows
that they are important to you.
He looks upon you with eyes that
sees every emotion you feel.
Worried for your family?
He understands it,
He gave John responsibility to take care of Mary
when He died on the cross.
Worried of poverty?
He knew poverty enough more than you
think you do. He was counted among the poor.
Worried of false people around?
He went through a great betrayal
in the hands of His followers.
Worried of loneliness?
He certainly went through the darkest hours
alone.
If you think you have suffered enough,
No, you have not seen all.
Jesus bore the weight of all mankind,
and the Cross was a symbol of that sacrifice.
We follow a Cross-bearing Savior.
And if so, identify yourself with Jesus,
Bear your own cross.
"And be found in Him..." Philippians 3:9
"For your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things."
Matthew 6:32

Whatever Comes, I'll Trust HIm
Sometimes our perfect little worlds
Are shaken, tossed about.
How did it happen? Why, Lord, why?
And questions foster doubt.
But, oh, I've found down through the years,
God's granary avails;
His funds are not depleted yet;
His larder never fails.
How many Israelites did God
Feed in the wilderness?
Did even one go wanting there?
God proved His faithfulness!
Do lilies face their world unclothed?
Do sparrows beg for bread?
Does God forget His chosen seed?
Is His hand limited?
He is my buckler and my shield;
His promises are true.
His covenants stand forevermore,
And what He says, He'll do!
The God of Daniel succors me;
He makes the crooked straight.
I'm graven in His precious hands
Till all things consummate.
He will not leave me, though my world
Lies groveling in the dust.
Job's God is still upon HIs throne;
And though He slay, I'll trust.
"To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen."
Romans 16:27
